Lizz M @RT09453549 01/14/2025 This movie is a moving and heart-wrenching depiction of what it means to suffer from an eating disorder and the mental health challenges that arise from grieving a very intimate loss. The experience of an eating disorder and the constant tension between knowing what you need and the strange experience of satisfaction that comes from listening to the eating disorder’s demands are personified and depicted perfectly in this film. This movie moved me to tears for my own experiences and for the many others who have battled even harder and longer than I to get well. Thank you to this entire team for creating this film — the work you did here is important and needed in a world that doesn’t understand the gravity of grief and eating disorders. I think that just goes to show this can appeal to a wider audience even though some might see the subject matter as "niche." It was just good all around. I didn't think it was cheap at all unlike the reviewer before me. I think with a bigger budget and marketing, this would've been a smash hit. Truly underrated. The performances were good and as a twin I got pretty emotional about her ordeal. I just wish the plot was better written. See more 08/02/2018 It's very rare for a movie to make me cry (I've had 5 movies ever make me cry), and this will be added to my list. Acting is outstanding. I felt the the setting was a little too quick. I would have liked to get to know her brother's character some more, but it was truly amazing. I never understood the depth of anorexia, and I think this hits another level on perspective. It makes you think that these people really aren't "crazy". What they feel and think is THEIR reality.
