Hellfire works just fine in its respect for the genre and classical sensibilities, but one longs to see an old talent like Florentine get back to the more filling meat and potatoes that elevated his films in the first place.

A small town action thriller that tells a familiar story in a familiar setting about familiar characters facing a familiar dilemma. But (Stephen) Lang makes anything watchable. And supporting turns from Harvey Keitel and Dolph Lundgren add to the fun.

The acting is some of the worst I have seen, my wife seemed to enjoy it so I couldn't turn it off. I couldn't wait for it to end.

This movie is very much in the same theme as Clint Eastwood's High Planes Drifter, but not as good. This could have been a really interesting story but it didnt happen, even so a fair movie

Writer Richard Lowry, and Director Isaac Florentine do their best job of giving "Green Beret" a bad name. Stephen Lang looks and sounds like one of the only people who's ever been on camera before. The "Ex-Green Beret" runs, misses shots, and runs some more. It starts out basically trying to copy the feel of Road House. A man with a shot knee kicks a barrel. The woman plants her first shot while the main character we're supposed to think is badass can't place one in 10 minutes. I can't say enough bad things about this movie.

Wow. Harvey Keitel what happened to your career. Dolph Lundgren is not a surprise in this movie with boring - hundreds of times done before - written plot and bad acting but I expected more from my Bad Lieutenant.
