This Swedish dramedy, based on a bestselling book, works beautifully as a story about reinvention, but also acts as a reminder that life doesn't begin or end when other people decide it should. Go to Full Review

Through absurd, tender, and slightly awkward moments, the film constructs a simple portrait of a woman who begins to fill the void she had left for years. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

It sometimes can be a bit much in the melodrama and comedy departments, a little try-hardy perhaps, but it’s otherwise a gentle, sweet and heartwarming bit of sentimentality whose core emotions ring true. Go to Full Review

As soon as I finished this movie yesterday, I felt immediately lighter, like I could accomplish anything, and that life isn’t over just because I’ve reached a point in it where the starting line looks further away than the finish, catch my drift? Go to Full Review

Daniel P @RT20577372 13h It’s so nice to see Swedish cinema bringing itself forward. This kind, quirky and original drama price evokes every emotion and sums up all moments we may face in reality, so beautifully. The acting is sublime and the visuals are second to none. Congratulations to the director. See more Saoirse N @Saoirse1916 1d Loved this funny, sad, quirky film. Kudos to the cast for giving it their all. See more Sylvia F. @Sylvia307 1d Excellent movie, excellent actors and actress, excellent story! See more Bill T. @btreakle 1d “Agneta” This film was just OK in my opinion I mean I love the setting in Europe and the premise of a story of a young girl lady who becomes an all pair to a much older gentleman. I guess the whole premise of this movie is that storyline and how this young woman begins to realize that life is too short to waste it on I’m going to do this or I’m going to do that and decides to be totally free and live her life the way that she sees fit. But for me it was just OK it’s not the type of movie I usually watch but it wasn't a terrible movie either.   See more Mireille T @RT34033469 3d A touching movie, that really talked to me. All actors were fantastic...forgot i was watching a movie. The unsaid was extraordinary. Definitelly an uplifting movie. See more DeNeice K @deneicy 3d "Amelie" was my favorite film until I saw "Jem'applle Agneta." An inspiration for anyone who appreciates a playful reminder to live with abandon, be open to change and take chances, dance, play, eat drink, be merry, connect honestly and meaningfully with others. We need one another. I am telling my friends to check out "Agneta." Waiting for the DVD! See more Read all reviews
