E como já é esperado nesse tipo de narrativa: um a um… eles vão caindo. 🎬 Análise crítica O problema de Desespero Profundo não está na proposta — porque ela já funciona por si só. Sobrevivência, mar aberto, tubarões… isso sempre gera tensão. O problema está na execução. O filme bebe diretamente da fonte de Tubarão — um clássico absoluto que redefiniu o gênero — mas sem compreender o que o tornava tão eficaz: construção de suspense. Three ingredients that somehow produce all the tension of a damp flannel. No Way Up commits the cardinal sin of making you root for the sharks. The characters are so thinly written that cardboard looks three dimensional by comparison. Every decision made is catastrophically stupid. At one point they're casually peering around underwater like they're browsing a supermarket, apparently immune to the concept of human eyes and lungs. The CGI sharks look rendered on a laptop during a lunch break yet remain the most compelling performers on screen. 89 minutes of people making terrible choices underwater while you check your phone battery. Save yourself. Would give zero stars but the sharks deserved something. It put the focus on relationships that go nowhere, with cheesy lines and poor delivery. In a movie where the basis is pretty fictional, the focus laid onto the characters' interaction rather than the action or the sharks itself; With several times pushing you away from the story and creating involuntary comedy moments rather than drama.
