aaron g @GeigOmatic 09/17/2021 One of those painfully slow and unsatisfying indie movies. Rappaport was really good, it's just that the pace and actual content made it feel much longer than its 1:25m runtime. OK that I watched once, but not for the library. See more 04/28/2021 Many people have described this low budget film as a "comedy". I do not see it that way at all. Rather, this as a tragedy about a good-natured man who becomes the victim of a reckless drug experiment. The movie takes the point of view of an emotionally suffering individual who becomes unable to discern reality from his drug induced hallucinations. The film does a great job of blurring the line so we experience the psychosis along with him. It does have moments of quirkiness, but underlying it all is a sadness because we know the man is slipping away. Ultimately, through his own sure will power, he triumphs over his psychosis by "getting up" and not letting a heartless world destroy him. The movie has its flaws, but I found it captivating. The lead actor, Michael Rapaport, is excellent. The music adds an edgy flavor as well. Well done. See more phil v @RT66693695 04/29/2019 Totally loved it. Totally heartbreaking.
