The film is intended to radicalize women into breaking from their chains and using their liberty to actually participate in the world instead of be cogs in the social machine. Otherwise, I’m quite ambivalent at how Gyllenhaal aims to reach conclusions.

This movie was weirdly wonderful. It was engaging & pulled me into the storyline quickly. The main characters were well established from past genre but this movie had a very fresh spin. Loved it!

While the plot did kind of rely on “don’t ask why XYZ, we just need to move along” and a couple concepts/narrative threads don’t go anywhere, I enjoyed the performances and the overall concept.

This was the most beautiful and empowering movie Ive seen in a while. I was not expecting this but so glad I did! My husband was also very impressed by it. However if you are a one viewed individual you will never understand the beauty in this film.
