I know some people love to criticize her acting, but I’ll be honest—Jennifer Lopez is one of the greatest actresses of all time in my book, and I don’t care what anyone says. The film is directed with a clear sense of purpose, following the story of her character and the developing love story in a charming and engaging way. Sure, there are some corny moments, and at times it might lean a little too far into the cheesiness—but it’s not a bad thing. It’s not perfect, but it’s far from a movie I wouldn’t recommend. If you’re looking for a feel-good love story with a touch of comedy, this is a fun film to sit down and enjoy. J.Lo really owns the role and delivers the heart and humor that makes this film so rewatchable. So yes—definitely check it out.
