The best I can say is that Tony Scott and Denzel Washington would be proud of this series, and as a massive fan of the 2004 film, I am hopeful we see this Man on Fire develop into an ongoing series and adapt the multiple sequels to the original novel. John D. @dixonjfdix928 4h I enjoyed the show. It was quite different from the 2004 movie, which was quite different from the 1987 film, which was very different from the original 1980 book. It stands alone, and is a worthwhile watch. I found it to be very believable. Yahya Abdul Mateen was excellent as Creasy. His redemption arc was well executed, and his relationship with the girl in trouble was well played. I’m not a huge fan of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II so I was worried about him. But he does a great job making the show feel realistic. I hope they keep the series going for another season. See more Marc D @Medic50291856 17h There was the possibility of a decent tv show but once again the execution was a mess, really poor storytelling, the gangbanger with a soul who turns out to be a natural special forces operative " who needs years of training " the taxi driver who makes Nathan Hunt look like a green bean and as for the wee lassie that their all meant to be saving! By the last episode I disliked her so badly I was rooting for the badie no one that unlikeable deserves to live. I watched till the end but I won’t start another season.
