Not every joke lands (the social-media stuff is #dated) but gems include a plotline in which Campbell explores the possibility of powering the BMO Field in Toronto entirely by the poop generated by fans. Go to Full Review

“Twenty Twenty Six” may not always be laugh-out-loud funny, but it’s [Beep]ing sharp. Go to Full Review

“Yes!”, “Yes?”, “Yes…” and, “Yes.” It is astonishing how much comedy in Twenty Twenty Six -- as with its predecessors Twenty Twelve and W1A -- can be juiced and pulped out of that affirmative Go to Full Review
James Croot The Post NZ 1d
The opening half-hour is remarkably laugh-free, returning writer John Morton setting himself the Sisyphean task of attempting to outdo the real thing, when it comes to calamitous organisation, rogue agents and setting up potential disaster. Go to Full Review

Twenty Twenty Six is a funny take on a workplace focused on putting together one of the world’s biggest sporting events, helmed by a person who is experienced with all the craziness and somehow manages to get things done in spite of it. Go to Full Review

The big problem with this show is that it is extremely unclear what exactly the writers are meant to be satirising. Go to Full Review

Alex B @RT07591026 23h I flipped a sht when I saw this was made and already out! Bonneville is just....so good. That face he does where he's clearly processing something catastrophic but has already decided to describe it as "not ideal" should be studied in drama schools. Tennant's narration too, I forgot how much of the comedy lives there, the way he'll describe something utterly disastrous in the most measured tone imaginable. The FIFA bleeping genuinely had me crying laughing by episode three. Such a stupid joke that somehow gets funnier every single time. The American characters could have easily been a weak point but they're not, the culture clash stuff is really well observed without feeling lazy or punching at easy targets. There's one scene in episode four involving a logistics spreadsheet and a miscommunication about Miami that I've already made two people watch. Only complaint is six episodes. Always six episodes. The Brits need to understand this does not constitute a full season, E-V-E-R. See more Simon R @RT64486026 Apr 12 Lover Twenty Twelve, and W1A, but Twenty Twenty Six is paper thin.....and weirdly unfunny. See more Read all reviews
